The
last time I heard Celtic music this immediate was when Shooglenifty
hit the scene some years ago.Whereas the mandolin in the Shoogs was
the backbone, it is supplemented in Croft No.5 by John Somerville's
accordion and Misha Somerville's whistles. Adam Sutherland provides
fiddle while the rhythm unit comprises Somhairle MacDonald on bass,
Barry Reid on funky guitar grooves and Paul Jennings on drums. So, if
grooving away is your thing or your looking for that end of festival
rouser (organisers please note!) look no further.Great stuff.
